Waiting in Carlsbad

We are still in Carlsbad, finishing up our jobs, bills, yard, house, etc. The details are never ending. I know we are leaving because we bought airline tickets and they are non-refundable. October 23 we are flying to VA via Jet Blue. We had cheap seats thanks to lost luggage last year.

Our plan is to provision and leave the dock by October 27-28. The weather will determine if we go via the Intracoastal Waterway route or out the Chesapeake to the Atlantic and then south.

Our first stop will be Oriental NC. Oriental has a good boat yard and we have a couple of things we need to take care of. I hope to eat alot of shrimp while we are there.

Here are some pictures of our new home

This last photo is the guest room.

"S A I L I N G away"...everyone sing (pretend I sing like Christopher Cross). What an exciting adventure you are about to partake in. I like the pictures but would like to remind you that the guest stateroom is actually call the Claus and Carol stateroom but we are willing to share it. Talk to you soon.

Hello,

Please disregard the message from Claus, (such a strange name). That extra stateroom actually should have the name Lisa and Joe on it. Claus (AKA Santa Claus) is too busy anyway, preparing for Christmas and delivering presents.
Can't wait to read more adventures.

Love

Lisa

Yourn sojourn looks to be great and the pictures are wonderful. Waterway looks to narrow to do much sailing but you are seeing a new part of the country. Chris from nest door has ask me to save your info see he can follow your trip. Sunny will tell of our trip to Stateline, but we went 622 miles on eleven gallons of gas. Thats better than 50 miles to the gallon. Love dad

Your sojourn looks great and the pictures are wonderful. The waterway looks to narrow to do much sailing. Chris from nextdoor has ask me to save these so he can follow your trip also. You are seeing part of the country that few people from are area can never see. We just got back from Stateline, but I'll leave Sunny to tell you about that. We drove 622 miles on eleven gallons and that is more than 50 miles to the gallon. Not bad.

I'm checking today to see why the blog would not accept my password. I'm doing something wrong because the message got on twice and it still did not accept the password. STEVE; I am looking for a baseball type hat with the real long visor. I was told they a prevolent on the east coast. Can't find one here. The bill is about 6 inches long. If you see one grab it for me.
