We think we are in the USA but not sure. There is not much English spoken here but with a bit of Espanol, " donde esta el bano", we are managing just fine.
We spent three nights at anchor 1/2 mile off Dinner Key. The weather was brutal with heavy rain and winds. We had enough of that and crossed to Key Biscayne and picked up a mooring ball at Crandon Park Marina. Now we can sleep soundly at night and not worry about our anchor dragging.
We are doing some final provisioning for the Bahamas, how many bottles of Tanqueray will we need? How many props for the dinghy? We believe there is a direct correlation between the first and the second!
Come Monday, we will be watching for a weather window to take us across the Gulf Stream to Bimini. Anything out of the South with moderate seas will be our ticket.
Internet has been hard to find in Miami. WiFi is not to be found on every corner like the rest of the civilized US. We expect it to be easier to find in the Bahamas. Kind of like Mexico, Internet cafe on every corner.
Thanks to all of you who send us a comment. We love hearing from you.
Over and Out,
Captain Steve and First (and only) Mate Anne

An interesting turn of events... as I recall in our younger, studdlier days, your Captain did not particularly care for gin, preferring rum and cokes.... must be an old age thing. Love your post, keep them coming!
Hi kids: Weather here is great. Non and it is 70 degrees. Dennis and Gini got possesion of there new moble home and I leave Sunday for a few days of painting. Sunny will be a stay at home doing some knitting. We had a wonderfu; Valintins day. She had lobster and I had sword fish. The next day I had a tooth removed and all went well, atleast so far. Some kids put a dent in Sunnys left fron fender and there goes my Saturday, but that's better than going to a body shop. If Steve is sarting to go native are you also going along or are you just an observer????? Looking forward to your blog from Bimini. We both hope you have a fun trip and the wind is at your back with calm seas
That's all for now. Have a safe sail Love Sunny and Dad
The captain is getting up there in the years and can be wishy washy about his drink. Right now the favorite is Gin but when we hit the Bahamas, the rum is much cheaper and will most likely become the drink of choice.
Hi Joe,
Thanks for the family update. Tell Dennis and Gini congrats from us.
